Dopamine's purpose is to give you the possibility of enjoying your music in a comfortable and elegant manner. It has a simple design, but a fairly rich functionality. The application can sort your music, provide you with discreet notifications, if you need them, it lets you rate your audio tracks and more. If you have a huge music library, this player is ideal if you wish to find specific tracks at a moment's notice, without any effort.

The software is absolutely free, but you can make a donation if you want to. Downloading its installation package and installing its components takes only a few seconds. Furthermore, the application works on all popular Windows platforms and it doesn't require any special tools or codecs to run.

Dopamine comes with a modern and sleek-looking user interface. Mastering its controls should be only a matter of looking around the main window for a few seconds. When launched for the first time, the application will ask you to select your main music folder. Of course, you can add multiple folders, during the initial setup or at a later date.

Once your music is imported into Dopamine, all your songs will be sorted automatically by artist, genre and album. The largest part of the interface is where you can explore your available artists, genres and albums, which are displayed as thumbnails of their cover images, but you can also access your songs directly, in a single list. Creating one or more playlists and adding your songs on by one or in large selections is another possibility.

The playback and volume controls are located in the lower part of the interface and they will be available at all times, regardless of what section of the interface you are currently in. Although a "now playing" screen is something you can find in other media players, in this particular case, the screen is quite pleasant to look at, due to the clean and simple design of the interface and its controls that fade out automatically. What's more, the application provides you with a few appearance customization options.

Dopamine can make a small thing in life, like listening to music, a pleasant and comfortable experience.

Pros

Dopamine has a simple and friendly design. Its controls are well organized and easy to understand. The application provides support for various media formats, including WAV, MP3 and WMA.

Cons

There are no obvious design flaws or functionality gaps to address.
